Profile
Pioneer’s first venture in the 1990s a small commercial test house in the name of Pioneer Textile Testing Services. Now this lab which is centrally located in Coimbatore city has grown into a big commercial test house offering Cotton, Yarn and Fabric testing facilities. It also offers Chartered Engineer Certification in areas of textile testing and approval.

The lab is the only one of its kind in the private sector. It has survived and grown enormously among huge competitors like SITRA, SICA etc. owing to the following reasons

Sample Sizes Required For Testing

Cotton Testing Division
For testing cotton we recommend you to send about 1000 grams of well mixed cotton sample.In case the sample is to represent a lot of 50 bales we recommend you to draw samples from atleast 3 randomly selected bales (Preferably I bale from bale No. I-17 I bale from 18-34 and one bale from the remaining bales.)

Yarn Testing Division
For count and strength determination on a five reading average we recommend 5 baby cones with a minimum of 250 metres of yarn in cone
For count and strength C.V % determination (30 Test average).We recommend 30 baby cones with a minimum of 250 metres of yarn in each cone.
For TPI determination and DTPI determination we recommend 100 gms of yarn in 5 baby cones
For UT- 3 Analysis of Yarn we request you to send 5 baby cones of minimum 1000 metres of yarn in each cone
For UT - 3 Analysis of Roving we request you to send 4 roving bobbins with a minimum of 300 metres of roving in every bobbin
For UT – 3 Analysis of silver we request you to send 2 continuous coils of silver each consisting of atleast 180 metres (please see that the coil is not entangled in transit which may affect the results).
For UTR – 3 Tests we request you to send 10 COPS /CONES with atleast 25 grams of yarn in each COP / CONE
For Classimat Tests Kindly send twelve cones of yarn with 200 kms of yarn in them.

The lab offers a Chartered Engineer Certification for any type of textile testing requirement
